Pamela Zaballa

With over 20 years of experience, Pamela has worked to support victims of violence, by creating and setting up direct services, as well as to prevent abuse and assault from occurring in the first place.

Pamela started working for the UN in Honduras, inside a women’s prison – a post that inspired her to pursue a career supporting victims of gender based violence. She supervised US court programs at Safe Horizon, and managed shelters for leading organizations in the U.K. As a Senior Operational manager, her portfolio of services included 36 shelters, 8 advocacy programs, 12 children services and setting up the first government-funded accommodation-based service in London for victims of human trafficking.

In 2015, Pamela decided to make a contribution in the prevention space through policy, research and communications work. This shift allowed working closely with government agencies, private sector companies and the UK Parliament, where she further developed research and successful campaigns to support survivors of domestic and sexual violence and human trafficking.

She then served at Hestia as the Prevention for Domestic Abuse Director, where she created successful initiatives to utilize state-of-the-art technology to help victims and to engage corporations as partners in the effort to stop domestic and sexual violence with projects like Bright Sky and Everyone’s Business.

Having previously consulted for the NO MORE Foundation as their International Development Director and is now the Chief executive officer. NO MORE is a leading global nonprofit organization working to end domestic and sexual violence by increasing awareness, inspiring action and fueling culture change. With more than 1,700 allied organizations around the world, we create, and it creates provide public awareness campaigns, educational resources and community organizing tools; advise leaders in all sectors on responses and prevention.
